Hello everyone!

I was fortunate enough to have received a couple of acceptances this application cycle. I have read on a different forum that there are things that can get you rescinded, but they seem like obvious and fair reasons to me. If I said I was doing a couple of things during my gap year and decided to drop one of them to do something different with my life, like having fun and relaxing on the weekends. Could that be a valid reason to get rescinded? The thing I am deciding to let go never came up in discussion during my interviews. So, I don't think it was all that important to adcoms. It was mostly something I decided to continue after graduation.

Thank you! Best wishes to you all in 2019.

I don’t imagine this would have any impact. You’re fine don’t worry about it. As long as you have all the prerequisite completed. If you feel like it just email them and tell them just in case they’d want to know. They will not rescind

Please don't worry and be proud of your acceptances! There is no reason for application anxiety to bleed beyond an acceptance. Congratulations!

Relax, home slice. Your plans for a future activity aren't what got you accepted. As long as "having fun and relaxing" doesn't involve hookers and blow, you're fine.

Arguably, even if it involved hookers and blow, so long as you didn’t get caught, they wouldn’t rescind your acceptance. Not that I’m advocating for those activities at all 😛

But going off of that, OP, you don’t really have to let the school know any activity updates. I would imagine they just want to know any additional grades, but that’s about all you would HAVE to update them on.

No. Now take two of these, and Gawd's sake, don't post racist or anti-semitic things on social media.

I'm a big advocate of all doctors, med students and residents to GTFO of social media. It literally adds nothing of value and documents forever your stupidity for everyone and future employers to see.
