Research thesis required?

On the MSAR there is a search option that says research thesis, and many schools come up under the required option. Does this mean that an undergraduate research thesis is required, or something else?

I should have been more clear. The MSAR is saying which schools require their students to perform a research thesis during medical school. And yes, quite a few schools do require it (some require community service as well)
