Well here is my story:

I attend the University of Kansas, and have lived in Kansas my whole life. My family also owns a second home in Missouri. I am there during the summers and go down there some weekends. Does this count as having state residency in Missouri, being that I will apply to some Missouri medical schools? Either way I will have ties to the state, but wondering about the tuition side of it, and that some of the schools would be easier to get a interview being that I was "from" that state. Thanks in advance everyone!

You definitely are not "from" Missouri. Your parents own a home there that you sometimes visit.

You can only be a resident of one state at a time and are clearly a resident of Kansas for admission and tuition purposes. You could maybe make the "Missouri ties" case, but since it's solely based on real estate (which, in turn, is based on wealth) I don't think I'd push too hard on that.
