Residency and average income

I just have a couple of questions regarding residency after completing four years at a DPM school. What determines if you get residency at Kaiser or any other hospital? Is it high GPA? Also, do you get paid during residency and if so, how much.

Does anyone know how much the starting salary is for a DPM working at a clinic and one working at a hospital (say Kaiser)?

Any information will be great.

We've actually discussed this a lot on the forum and I encourage you to search for it. As far as ending up at a residency program, it is the same system that is used by MD/DO residencies: the match and scramble.
