Residency Interview Invites 2017

For OHSU- has anyone received a rejection?
I received a vague "8 spots usually open up" email on 1-16, but can't tell if it was sent to everyone or if I'm part of a small "waitlist"?

Can anyone comment on whether they received a rejection or did not receive the vague email?

First I heard back from closed on 1/2 and I heard back on 1/12.
Another program deadlined on 1/8 and I heard back yesterday.
Third program I heard back from deadlined on 1/4 and I just heard back from them today.

You make a good point, I guess I was thinking about the response time the same way it was with pharmacy school applications. Thanks for the input 🙂 Hopefully that I haven't heard back from anyone yet isn't such an awful thing 🤔 **fingers crossed*

Has anyone heard from the ID PGY2s in IL? Mostly Northwestern/Midwestern? I know Northwestern sends out their invites/rejections all on 1/16, I was wondering if that still applied if it was through Midwestern or not.
 
Does anyone know when we might hear back from the VA in SLC? or when they generally have interview dates?

When they asked for preferred interview dates they only gave till the 17th, so I'm assuming they might still be arranging things for interviews. Good luck!!
 
Has anyone heard from Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Yuma Regional Medical Center, or St. Joseph's Hospital (Phoenix)

How far in advance are y'all expecting details on your day? I have a few in less than two weeks so I wish I knew if I had to prepare a presentation or not!

The guy in his email left a phone number and I just had a couple follow up questions regarding the date. So I guess I provoked the call more than anything. Sorry for the mix-up.

I think it just depends on the program. I received a detailed itinerary from one program two weeks ago, whereas I have an interview Monday and don't know much other than when to be there, and that there won't be a presentation. From my experience with offers so far, I've had a number of programs that specify in the offer email whether or not they will require a presentation. Ultimately though you should get plenty of notice if you need to prepare a presentation.
 
Has anyone heard from UC Irvine, USC (Keck), USC (LAC), or Stanford Acute Care PGY1?

For the east coasters, I've heard people received invites from UNC and Duke, has anyone received a rejection from either program?

Got an email invite from novant prince william medical center on 1/17. Still waiting on Inova Alexandria
 
What do you do if the only day a program has available to interview is already booked with another interview? Can you ask other programs if there is any room to switch a date or are you just going to have to choose?

I submitted my application on Jan 1st, so it had been a while. They may send out things in a few waves. They got back to me the Monday after their deadline, so they must have discussed my application prior to their submission deadline.

I wasn't able to submit my application until the day it was due (01/05) and I understand the nervously waiting [emoji37] [emoji27] lol hopefully we will hear something soon. If you do, please post!!!

OK, thanks for the info. Hopefully that's the case and I'll hear something soon. Waiting is giving me serious anxiety :nailbiting:
