I have a few interviews coming up and a couple of them requires a 15 minute presentation. Any suggestions on what I should present on? I have presented many journal clubs but the presentation needs to be in power point format. All of my other presentations during rotations were pretty short and didn't last 15 minutes. I am starting to become worried about what to do because the interview is coming up really soon. Has anyone done a case presentation at an interview? I'm open for any suggestions. Thanks!

I'm surprised your presentations haven't lasted 15 minutes. My shortest one was 15 minutes and others have ranged from 30 - 45 minutes in length. Perhaps you can extend a previous presentation? 15 minutes really isn't that long and trying to come up with a new topic may be difficult since you haven't practiced it or been questioned on it.

Half of my interviews require a case presentation and half require a presentation of my choosing. I, too, have never done a case presentation, but when I found out I needed one, I asked my current preceptor if he had any interesting patients I could work up. I'm at a CHF clinic, so he found a patient for me to review and I just built it up from that. There are lots of case presentation examples to look at on the internet, so I formatted mine from those. The majority of examples are from med school interviews, but you can just emphasize the pharmacy aspect of the case. I'm not a fan of presentations, so 15 minutes seems like an eternity to me, haha! But it honestly is shorter than you think, especially if you throw some journal articles in to the presentation. Nothing extends time like p values! ;-)
