Residency status question

My kid goes out of state for college. He lands a job there before graduation while applying for medical school. I wonder what kind of residency status he can claim while applying. It seems that he can qualify for both. I appreciate your help.

Depends on the state and how the state universities consider residency. I think for AMCAS applications you can only pick one state.

You’re gonna have to stay home for the interviews though, there’s usually only one chair in the rooms.
