My understanding is that the process is the same as your RAD just a different letter format as per the link trinity sent. Id be interested to hear how this pans out for you since I will be doing this in 2 years.

Google MILPERSMAN 1920. Look at sections 190 and 200. It looks like you can submit the letter as early as 2 months before the end of your obligated service.

That would be the appropriate question...how much longer do you have in IRR? And I'm just curious as to why the rush...are MDs getting called back form IRR in the NAvy?
