Let's say, hypothetically, that a dental student was being an idiot and wasn't thinking. He used temp bond as the cement of choice for a provisional for a tooth that is prepared for an all ceramic crown. The crown will be cemented using resin cement. She is coming in for the impression next week, and non-eugenol temp bond will be used to recement the provisional. Is there anything that can be done to make sure all the remaining cement will be removed from the prep so that the permanent crown doesn't fall off?

Scaler? And maybe a chlorohexidine scrub using a prophy cup?
