Okay so I don't know all that much about the AMCAS application process, but from what I've read and heard, there are X number slots to list our most important activities throughout undergrad on the actual application. Because of this, do we need to upload a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) anywhere, like we do our personal statement? If so, what do medical schools prefer?

No. Some schools annoyingly ask for this on their secondary.

You should be keeping a running CV irrespective of this process. It will be useful to have for any research or other academic positions for which you apply. And taking a CV and trimming it down to a resume is much easier than writing a resume from scratch. Finally, the activities are easier to complete with your complete CV open in another window.

No, you will NOT upload a CV anywhere on the AMCAS at all. However, you will sometimes have to send schools a copy of your "CV" in the secondary portion. Thus, you should definitely have a CV handy. CVs are considered much more valid than are resumes for medical schools, so I think definitely opt for a CV - not a resume.

Moreover, having the CV really helped me when I was making the experiences section on my AMCAS. If you want an idea of what a CV should look like, feel free to message me and I can send you a copy of my mine!
