I'm a pharmacist making the switch from retail to hospital. Any textbooks or references that would be helpful to prepare?

Because every hospital environment is different, your preparation will consist of OTJ training.

Usually the hospitals have references available... like the sanford guide, injectables text, etc. You might want to familiarize yourself with your institution's preparation guidelines as well...

On the job training. Be willing to learn from everyone, including and especially the techs, plus approach every order with a skeptical mind. Look up doses and labs for people, even if you think they're no-brainers. That estimated creatinine clearance might be a result of hemodialysis, not ballin' kidneys.
