Hey guys,

So I noticed most schools dont have an "expiration" on how long ago a pre-req course was taken, however at least one school stated on their site that they will not accept a pre-req older than 5 years from the date of admission (i.e. 4 years.)

Is that the exception or the norm? Because I took English I and II in 2002 and 2003 (when I first started my undergrad.) I just want to know whether or not I have to retake the English courses.

Thanks guys. Let me know your thoughts.

Call the school in question and ask them if the 5 year cut off applies to English. I would guess that they won't care about English as much as the other pre-reqs but you need to ask this school.

I had this same issue. My English 1 and 2 are...(brace yourself)...15 years old! When the pre-health fair stopped by my school I asked all the dental admissions people who were in attendance. They sort of thought it was a silly questions, but the last thing I want to find out too late is that I needed to take these again.

Of course, call the specific school and verify their requirements.
