Retake for this cycle? 507 total low bb

125/130/122/130 507 total. 3.2ish scgpa (upward trend) 3.66 overall gpa. Pretty good EC's, clinical experience, leadership, research etc.

Should I try my luck with DO schools this cycle or is it worth it to retake for this cycle?

Seems to me like you should try your luck with DO schools and some of MD schools unless you are CERTAIN that you can score 512+ on your retake.

I've been out of the game a little while (It's been a couple years since the last time I reviewed an application) but I think a 507 is solid.

The thing is, if you want to retake, you REALLY need to be sure you'll do better, and it's already halfwayish through July. I'd just see how things go and start studying hard for a retake now. If this cycle doesn't go well you can take it before next cycle and crush it.

Or just say screw it. I know lots of doctors who didn't score as well as that who are relatively young.

I think the only bad idea is rushing a retake because then your score might drop and it makes you look worse.

Which MD schools that aren’t HBCU or in the Caribbean accept a 507? Thank you!
