Retaking a class: Do it with the same professor?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have to retake a chemistry class this summer. Is it best to take it with the same professor since I have the notes and old exams? The professor was good, I just was not in the right state of mind last summer last summer when I took it.

Or should I take it with another professor who is known to have a more generous grading curve? which one would you go with?

Depending on your institution, most professors teach the same core material, and may even share notes/assignments. Take it with which ever professor you think you can do best in. It's refreshing to hear you not blame it on the professor- true sign of maturity. I wish you the best of luck.

If you felt it was your own shortcomings that led to your demise, then use the same professor. If you felt the professor was terrible, then take another.
