I took the chem series at a very competitive school freshman year and landed C's the whole way. I wasn't happy with those scores, so I decided to retake them after graduating at a smaller 4 year school. Currently, I'm working on getting the third and final A for the chem series on my second go around.

I know DS will see my transcripts regardless, but I wasn't exactly sure how AADSAS worked. I keep hearing different things from people. Will they average out my grades or show the better ones?

Thanks!

As predent mentioned, it will be the average.

dental schools will see all courses and all grades (u have to list every course/grade you've ever taken). AADSAS will use both chem grades when calculating your gpa. so the oGPA, sGPA, and BCPM gpa will include an average of your two chem grades.

^^ Toofly01 is correct

google "aadsas grade calculations" and all the particular rules used by AADSAS are made available in the first 2 links provided.

Specifically, when I googled "aadsas grade calculations" just now the second link provided is a PDF you can download, digest mentally, and then proceed to accurately forecast exactly what dental schools are going to see.

When I did this exercise prior to completing the AADSAS application, I knew exactly what my GPA, etc was prior to filling out and submitting the AADSAS application. It was exactly what it was in the end.
