Good morning all,
I'm super proud of everyone who's been posting there 90+ scores!!!👍 However, here's my situation, I had never planned on wanting to specialize, so when I took the board last July, I didn't study much and made an avg of 80.
Now that I'm in clinic, I really enjoy Pedo more than I thought I ever would, and fat chance I'll get into a pedo residency with an 80 nowadays, right? So I started planning on retaking the board, but now I'm super nervous about the change in format....I mean, what if I fail a section? Then I'm totally screwed because they take your latest score (the first one would be null and void).
So what do you all think? Should I take the gamble and retake it? Should I just stick with my 80, apply for the heck of it, and then do a GPR if I don't get in and try again in a year or two? I wish I had done better and cared when I took it the first time...
