Never thought I'd be here but ... what are people's thoughts on having to retake physics 1 after hearing back from schools.. is this grounds for admittance rejection? 🙁

My school (and my sister's as well) offers physics 1 and 2 as summer sessions. Physics 1 in session A and, right after that ends, Physics 2 in session B.
Maybe his/hers does too.

Yeah I was just curious because for example University of Minnesota requires all pre-reqs (like physics) to be completed by the end of Spring semester 2017. So I'm not sure what deadlines this person has in terms of the school he/she applied to if they are going to take physics 1 during the spring.

Oh okay! All the schools I applied to require them to be completed before starting DS, but you are right. It depends on the school.
I'm taking biochemistry in the summer
