So I’m probably going to be a reapplicant this cycle. Im a current senior biology major with a cGPA of 3.73 and sGPA of 3.68. Both will go up a little bit at the end of this semester. I got a 21 on the DAT. Both AA and TS. My only low score was a 17 on PAT. I ran out of time.

I mentioned re-applying to my pre-dental advisor and we were both really confused as to what went wrong. I had 4 (maybe 5) interviews this cycle and I was waitlisted at 2 schools. The other 3 ghosted me.

She said that my letters of recommendation and the committee letter itself was strong. Our school allows committee letters to be used for 2 cycles so she recommended me using it again. She also recommended that I get another recommendation letter from one of my volunteers supervisors that I got much closer to this year.

Would this be ok?

I reused my committee letter when I reapplied and it turned out just fine.

are your waitlists private school? If so, you still have time to get the acceptance...

but you can definitely reuse your committee letter.. If it was your third time using it, I would ask them to revise it a bit but that's not the case for you

I’m currently waitlisted at Nova and Louisville. I just got an interview invite from Case Western today that if it goes well will probably lead to waitlist as well.

did you send letter of interest and/or letter of intent to the two waitlists? you should if you haven't done so. continue to express your interest and update with volunteer hours or grades, etc.

then after your interview with case western (congrats btw!) send a thank you letter right away and express interest within the next few days (if they allow this, they'll usually tell you if they don't want you contacting them after the interview)

I sent my intent letter to Louisville after I was waitlisted in January. I sent an interest to Nova in like late December. I plan on doing that for Case as well

Reusing your committee letter is fine. My opinion is that your PAT is not on par with most applicants (20+), and that may be cause enough to waitlist you.
That’s the only thing my pre-dental advisor was worried about. She thought that because I received so many interview invites that I was fine. Would it really be worth it to retake the DAT? I would really prefer not to if I didn’t have to.
