Reusing practice tests

What do you guys think about using aamc tests taken in April again to prepare for August MCAT? Would they still be good indicators? Thanks.

I don't think they would be good indicators if you studied based on your incorrect answers on the practice tests. They may still be useful as review, by continuing to reinforce the material. But if you're taking a particular test a second time, I don't think it will have any predictive value.

I really think that ANY practice is good - doing lots and lots of questions. Of course, you may remember the material if you took the tests already, but if you've run out of good practice questions, I'd say do them again.

Totally agree with this. Sure doing the problems you've done already will help you see why you got certain problems wrong, but if you're trying to gauge how well you're doing by your score the 2nd time through on the same test, that's not gonna work.

If this helps, I went through all of the AAMC tests that the AAMC sells online. Then I wanted more to do. I found the Examkrackers tests to be the most similar to the real MCAT as opposed to REA or even Kaplan (which I've been told by many others is harder than the real deal).
