Is there a reason no one hears talks about the Baron book? Is there a problem with it or are the other books just better. The reason I ask is because it is much cheaper than the Kaplan Comprehensive book but still seemed pretty similar in content.

i have it...i used it for april's mcat...it's a bit out-dated, that's all. practice tests are also slightly simplistic (don't make you think the way kaplan's do)..but it's excellent bio practice for sure -- goes into great detail w/ physiology, etc.

Barrons and Petersons are not good resources if you want good MCAT study material. I would get the Kaplan book, or buy Exam Kracker's. They are more comprehensive and in line with the difficulty of the MCAT. The material may be the same, but they way they teach it is different. For instance, some may go into more detail then needed and not really focus on the MCAT way of thinking and presenting the material, while others may go into the MCAT specific style of questions and what not.

Barrons and REA make things way too easy, and are not things I would trust. Stick with a company that knows what they are doing like Kaplan, TPR, EK, or TBR if you are in Cali.
