Hi everyone! So I know we're supposed to rewrite our personal statement if we're reapplying, but what if they're different programs from the ones I applied to last year? I understand if it's the same program, but I was really happy with my personal statement. I even got a few interviews with it. I plan on revising it and making some changes, but can I go off of my old one? Thanks!

I honestly am not going to fully revamp my personal statement. I have experiences to add, but there are some aspects of my essay (how I found OT etc), that are the same. I worked hard to perfect those sections. I know there are some sections I plan on revising and other sections I'll probably eliminate to make room for some new stuff, but it will be quite similar.

I went and spoke with the advisor for a local program I applied for last year. I found my weakness was in my interview (which I knew, especially for this specific school). I asked her if my essay was similar to last year if they would know. She said they receive hundreds of applications, and to remember every essay they read is nearly impossible. If they did remember certain aspects, it is likely they were admitted to the program.
