RFU Interviews

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Scintillation,

I just received the same letter as you. My mom read it to me over the phone.

Man, this blows. The letter goes on to say that a SMALL number of applicants decline their acceptance. Ugh. How small? How many people are in the same boat as us? Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. No answers. Just questions and more questions. What the heck do we do at this point?

RFU is my last bastion but man they are really pulling me along for an emotional roller coaster here. Anyone got any advice?

At this point it looks like another application cycle for me, but I will try RFU again next year and see maybe better luck next time 🙂.

that's the right attitude! listen, i got in this year, but this was my second time applying. last time i didn't even get an interview. even crazier than that, my gpa & mcat were exactly the same both app cycles. the only change was another EC & some volunteering, but they didn't even want to talk about my new stuff in the interview. all they wanted to discuss was my old career, which they could've done if they had interviewed me last time. part of this is just random. definitely try again next year, it may turn out great! good luck.

Has anyone received acceptances for this month? I hope youre right, dogdaysafternoon, that no news is good news.

My best guess is that by March 15, the whole class had to be set. That being said, these letters were probably written two weeks after that.

As the May 15th deadline approaches, I am curious as to how many people will drop their RFU acceptance and how many waitlisted candiates RFU still has...

Major question - has anyone been rejected from RFU POST -interview? Since approximately 60% of the interviewees get acceptance, we can at least gauge how well RFU grades us if we know people have been rejected post-interview. The worst case scenario is that they reject no one post-interview until the very, very bitter end and we all end up being the 40% rejection pile at the end of June. The best case scenario is that they've already rejected many post-interview and we're all that's left meaning we are in the top 60%.

Regardless, RFU still hasn't accepted us so we are not their top choices.

i just got the same letter as well. I freaked out when I saw it cos I had heard about the rejections that went out a week or so ago. I wasnt expecting anything since the last letter basically said I was on hold. Anyway I'm still in the hunt which while not the greatest news, its not the worst. I'm still hopeful.

Now back to preparing for retake April MCAT

GOOD LUCK GUYS/GALS!!
