Simply on those factors alone its hard to say.
Mentioned this in another thread but 2 of the best residents I've seen were quiet, shy & reserved, and they were good listeners. I've seen others who were very good conversationalists who were also good.
I think the bottom line is you have to figure out what's going on for real. A problem with the medical model mixed with our current billing system is that it leads some psychiatrists to want to jump to a diagnosis & medicate--> case closed. I've seen some of the same patients for months now and there's still more I'm discovering about them that goes way beyond simply diagnosing & medicating.
If your personality is extroverted, or shy, or gregarious what have you, I think if you can still have the passion to figure out what's going on for real--> that's the key. Different personalities may attempt to unlock the mystery in different ways.
