Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about rinses regarding what is recommended to patients as opposed to what is actually used personally? Is it often the same? Or do you use brand X, but recommend brand Z? Why?

This thread is for predents...since few people here are dentists as of yet (or even in dental school), you may find a better answer to this question on the dental forum

But, in case you were wondering, I use store brand listerine knock-offs...

There's only 2 you should worry about:

Fluoride rinses: ACT or Rx-strength

or

Peridex (Chlorhexidine 0.12%) Rx-strength

never mix the two together

listerine is good, but it burns
