Huh? Like literally or figuratively?
It says membership revoked next to his handle. Wonder what it was. IIRC, didn’t see anything from him recently that was really different from the doom and gloom he’s posted for years.

I don’t know if it is true in this case, but sometimes people get banned for PM’s so the reason may not be public.

@Arch Guillotti @pgg whats up with @Consigliere? Can’t see that he did anything unusual.
In a sense you're right, it was nothing unusual for him ... which was the problem. He'd had many previous warnings and postholds, most recently just a couple weeks ago.

We usually just let it go here - most of his caustic and abrasive TOS line-toeing or line-crossing was directed toward midlevels, or just venting about his unhappiness with the state of anesthesiology. I couldn't ever really muster the enthusiasm to ding him for giving some midlevel or mid-level-sympathizer a ration of ****. He probably got away with more than he should have for longer than he should have, given the site-wide TOS.

Anyway, he took that game to another subforum where they don't play that way.

Rules is rules and though we let a lot slide here (especially for longtime members) the rest of SDN isn't obligated to allow it. Don't know what to say beyond that.

Thanks for the explanation. If he was banned for the EM thread then totally lame. Perhaps he did something more egregious elsewhere. Probably not though. :eyebrow:

Yeah I imagine that caused it. I wouldn't make that comment but I'm glad he did.

I was placed on probation for a whole month because I visited another sub forum and told someone to “get out of here” in abbreviation mode including the letter F.
Learned lesson. I tread lightly outside here.

Edited for clarity.

Looks like several members that liked the post need to be cancelled as well...mods?

What?

So the loser who "supervises" independent NPs for no additional compensation gets to stay and the guy who champions physician care gets banned. Thought this was the student doctor network, not the student doctor of healthcare nurse practioning network. Can't even call that dbag a sellout cause he doesn't get paid! Btw I don't like Consigliere but this ban is bull.

He wasn’t banned for championing physician care. He was banned for calling someone what he did. The guy who is selling out his profession and colleagues didn’t violate the TOS. I get the frustration, but unfortunately it doesn’t matter if we agree with the sentiment if they are breaking TOS with their language. There are plenty of users calling that dude out without breaking TOS.

That was part of the problem. His whole persona on here was basically being a jerk and he rarely contributed anything clinically worthwhile. People complain, things build up over time. A straw finally broke the camel's back. It wasn't from this forum and it wasn't from me although it doesn't matter at this point.

It’s all moot anyway. But what he said wasn’t wrong. We are all trained to be “nice” and “play in the same sandbox”. Midlevels are coming, already here, taking your jobs. But we are not allow to bring it up at work, now even at a forum that’s supposedly dedicated to physicians and medical students. How many of us called crna, nurses in private? How many of you all aren’t afraid to call that in their faces, at all times, not just “jokingly”?

Protocols aka rules are set up for many reasons. One of them being people aren’t capable of making independent decisions/determinations. Because they don’t have the experience/knowledge/expertise/education to make the call.

One of my recent posts outside of here was pulled. For “wording and tone...” I may be more sarcastic to an arrogant individual, while the “content may be valid”.

RIP @Consigliere even tho I don’t always agree with what you said, but I would never imagine they’d kick you out for not playing nicely in the sandbox.

What? It is brought up all the time. There’s at least one thread on it like every week.

Oh no! Can't have hurt feelings! Christ.

Follow up: what’s the term, words he used. Just so I know I don’t get dinged for them.

Ball-less? Sycophantic? Soy boy? Sellout?

All of these? None of these?

I've been looking at the SDN TOS and just can't figure it out. Maybe you can though

"Be courteous and contribute positively. If you disagree with someone, be courteous, and stay positive in your response. Negativity is harmful to our community. Repeated negative posts will result in removal from our community."

"Treat everyone with dignity and respect. We are open to discussing challenging topics, but we expect all members to behave professionally and treat each other with dignity and respect."

"Believe in a team approach to medical care. We encourage members to engage in discussions across the wide variety of medical fields represented on the forums. Open dialogue between medical professions promotes better understanding and working relationships. Bashing other professions is not tolerated and will result in our community (see: treat others with dignity and respect)."

OK but really... Is it that difficult to venture a guess as to why it crossed a TOS line in a subforum other than gas where the moderation is extremely light? You're acting like a real soy boy

This **** right here is exactly what's wrong with medicine. From med school and onwards we select for and promote spineless kool-aid drinking ****s while strong personalities are weeded out. These same asskissers go on to become admins and political figures. No wonder we're losing this field to lawyers and suits.

In that case, why don't you stfu you low-T jerkface?

See....two ppl can go back and forth all day like that if the mods don't want to jump in, and while the anesthesia mods are pretty light handed even they have a limit when the name-calling starts totally overshadowing the legitimate content.

Again, Consig didn't get banned in the family med forum because he called him a "sellout". The "ball-less soyboy" part otoh.....let's just say there's a reason I don't venture too far out of the anesthesia subf

There’s a reason I don’t post very much on those types of threads. I feel very strongly about it, and while I am usually pretty good at keeping it professional, there are some people who just excel at pushing my buttons.

Who are you calling a soy boy?!
Why do you assume I identify with the male gender?! I want to be called,

princess Brady the man-girl.

We preferred pronouns are( we, us, ours).

Yes I will stop, or this thread will be done soon.

I apologize for any nonsense that may have hurt anyone’s feeling, especially our “colleagues” who did not go to medical school.

Edit: my new name wasn’t constructed as initially intended.

"Be polite, be courteous, show professionalism, and have a plan to kill everyone in the room."

Ad hominem attacks don't typically win arguments, convince bystanders, or help with the killing when killing is due. Nobody would've called Gen Mattis a soy boy, but somehow he got by without calling people names, and people took him seriously.

There's a thread in premed about pay and specialty selection. And the altruistic, I don't need to be paid for my job are out in full force.

If I was a hospital admin, I'd eat up all these noobs and pay them 1%ile.

And what do you think would happen to the overall pay for everyone else then? You think the hospital would have an easy time recruiting other more experienced people? Or would they keep those rates much, much hire than 1%?

I was trying to make a point that there are a lot of individuals fighting against physicians being compensated appropriately and they are physicians themselves.

I think physicians are severely underpaid and we should elimate 99% of admins.

Rip to my second favorite novelty account behind Followthemoney. He even insulted me after I said something nice to him once. Now that's dedication to the schtick!!!

It's a real shame because some people absolutely need to be told what they are in no uncertain terms and it's like we had a bot that would automatically do it for us.

I never heard this term before and had to look it up. The image is just for humor so please don't get (too) offended.

I swear I know this person in real life!! I just can't put my finger on it. Let me have one more glass, it will come to me.

Edit: I am also learning about this Momokun character. WTF are these GenZ up to?

Heh, premeds ... Lots of them won't even apply to medical school, let alone actually get in.

They're offering to sacrifice something they haven't earned and don't understand. I'd rather listen to a 2nd grade boy explain to his chums why girls are icky.
