I was a dummy and thought first aid might help with M1, but I opened the book maybe 3 times.

I have it now. I don't mind spending the extra money if it is a good idea, but don't want to waste it obviously. Should I buy FA 2012?

The most important changes are: (1) Now it's colored, and (2) Pics are not in the back, but located within the text. Information wise, you can add the extra info if you wish.

(3) They screwed up a lot of tables and typesets along with the normal mistakes (available in errata.)

I would wait for the 2013, where hopefully the big mistakes are fixed. Although they will manage to screw other things up...

Then spend 2-3 days and annotate based on your 2011 copy and it becomes a learning process in of itself.

Guys (im starting M2 now) i got the 2012 this summer and almost finished the biochemsitry part from first aid. do you advise me to study all year by adding whatever extra notes i take in class to it? that way i will be constantly reviewing first aid and it will be very familiar to me by next summer.
