Any updated thoughts on this program now that it is in the ACGME match?

I haven't heard of too many CA programs that accept DOs, and I've been looking at that part of the country with more interest (me and everybody else probably).

It's not listed on the google doc, or I would've just looked at that.

I honestly have not met one applicant that even applied to UC Riverside. Like you said, used to be a DO program. I assume it basically still is as it's dual accredited with ACGME/AOA. All I can say is it's accredited so you'll come out an anesthesiologist. Out of all the Cali programs, I think Loma Linda takes a few every year. Good place to consider. Did not see any DO's on the interview trail for UCLA, USC, Cedars, or UCSD

I did apply to Riverside but didn't get an interivew, though I did get interviews at a few other SoCal problems including USC and Loma Linda. I believe they require step 2cs completed for an interview, which is probably why I didn't get an interview. I remember getting an email asking when I'd have my step 2cs in.

Step 2 CS? Not CK? I wasn't planning on taking CS on top of Level 2 PE... Maybe I should?

Oh, I don't know. I'm at an US allopathic school. I would assume that Level 2 PE would be fine as long as you have a pass by October or whenever they start giving out interviews.

Oh sorry, I thought you had applied back before they changed over. Cool.

Well, I'm not tied to that region of the US, but it'd be cool to live there.

I applied with step 2 CK and CS already taken and even with California ties did not get an interview. My step 1 wasn't all that competitive but my CK more than made up for it. I was surprised I didn't hear from them.

At my interview, I was surprised that many interviewees had done an audition rotation there. In the DO anesthesiology world, auditions are a much bigger deal, I guess. Others interviewing there had strong ties to California. It'll be interesting to see how they and other DO programs adjust.
PE is fine, don't take the CS.
