I'm currently an RN working full time, and planning on starting my pre reqs for med school in the fall (not many of my nursing school ones count). I've heard that online classes and even summer classes (even at a 4-year college) is frowned upon by med school admin, but is it that bad for a nurse working full time to do those things? Will they consider the fact that I did those in order to complete my classes more quickly while working full time? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, it is still bad, and unfortunately, there is still prejudice against nursing backgrounds applying for medicine at some of the more conservative schools. You still need to take many of the prerequisites in house anyway as we still see poor outcomes from MCATs from those nontraditional classes.

Admin isn't going to care all that much that you are working full time as a nurse, rather they're going to think that if you're serious enough about attending medical school that you'd have completed the pre-reqs in person with their in-person labs. They also dont want to think that you're just trying to rush through and get them done quickly. Go to a local college/university to complete them in person for your best shot.

Side note: many schools simply dont accept online pre-reqs for any reason at all, and some of those that do have limits as to the number of credits they will accept online (usually around 8 credits of pre-reqs online).

The issue is that most medical schools do not consider the coursework in nursing and allied health to be rigorous enough when it comes to science depth and knowledge. Few schools consider online coursework rigorous enough. They may consider the circumstances but that will not be enough of a reason unless you are forced to be in such a situation, and even then, you need to network and talk with admissions folks to assure yourself that your prior background isn't going to work against you in file review.
