How valuable do you guys think it is to do the Robbins questions? For anyone who got a 260+ and actually did those questions, do you think it helped? Was it a waste of time? How does it compare to the more traditionally recommended Qbanks (UWorld, Kaplan, USMLE RX, Amboss)?

Please note, I would not be doing these questions during dedicated, but would rather be doing them alongside classes during the end of M1 and M2 years.
Thanks for your help!

Here's the link to the Robbins questions I am referring to: Amazon product ASIN 1455751553

I have been told by all of the students that I know who have gotten 250+ that I know that have mentored me throughout med school that in the fall of M2 doing Robbins questions is huge and to NOT stop doing them. I asked many of them if i should switch to spending more time on Rx or another Qbank and they told me to make Robbins a priority and to learn from them so I did pretty much all of them with each block along with as many Rx questions/Kaplan as I could. Robbins is never a waste of your time-it is literally the path bible. Now come January and into the Spring of M2 as you get closer to boards I would prioritize Rx/Kaplan and UWorld (from all of the advice that I have gotten UWorld is a no brainer if you want to score well on Step). Unless you are in a condensed curriculum where you do path and all that jazz along with physio/anatomy, I wouldn't touch Robbins until M2. If you are in a traditional curriculum then M1 I would stick to phys, anatomy, embryo, bchem questions for Rx and wait for the path and pharm stuff until M2

First aid
Pathoma
(Sketchy micro/pharm)
U world

thats it. 25x step 1. 26x step 2.
The most resources you add the more likely you’re going to spread yourself too thin on the important stuff.

I think hes talking about alongside classes in the fall during Path. I 100% agree with you on those resources for preded and ded but for the fall M2 i dont think doing Robbins questions with each system is a bad idea. I also agree that too many resources is way worse as a lot of people spread themselves too thin doing this and then cant compartmentalize principles/concepts in their brain when taking the exam

The Robbins questions book was mega helpful during M2.
