Ross Fall 2017

In the welcome packet it mentions how you should buy a round trip as soon as possible. I get that they will want students to go home in between semesters but do students ever stay on the island since there's only a two or three week break between semesters? If so where do they stay?

From everything I have read and am understanding, you have to come back after your first semester for visa reasons. After that, they just want you to have an open ended ticket and because you will be living off campus, you do not have to come back to the States except when you want to. (I may be understanding this wrong, so if there is a current Rossie please correct me.)

I read that Ross is the most expensive place to get a degree.
What is your debt right now ,if it is not a secret?

What is with your personal crusade against Ross? Yes it is an expensive school, but there are many stateside schools that are equally or more expensive than Ross for out of state students.

I agree with Vannandy! Some stateside schools are equal or even more money and living in St. Kitts isn't that much more expensive than living in the city to be honest. I pay less rent here than in the states.

Everyone else if you have any questions about Ross feel free to PM, you're going to love it here!

Hi all! I'll be starting in January, I have so many questions. First: as far as flights, passports, student visas, the deposit.... so students typically use student loans to cover these espenses that need done prior to matriculation?

Same..... I definitely live for cheaper down here than I did in the US, even in an extremely rural area. If you don't literally just blow through every penny of your loan money on partying and playing 24/7 you can send a ton back each semester and get out of school with a lot less debt that many stateside schools, I know I am.

Also anyone with questions feel free to message me whenever. I'm in 7th (so going back to the US at the end of this semester) and I've been an orientation leader as well so I like to know I know a lot of island things and things about coming to the island 🙂

So I had a house full of "stuff" I was leaving behind when I started so I literally sold everything that was not nailed down on those Fbook swap and sell sites in my area. I used that cash for everything from flight, new laptop, passport, deposit, rent, cash for food and spending during orientation, etc etc. I also started saving money the moment I found out I got in. So that was plenty to get me by until I got my loan check during orientation.
