What exactly is a general rotating residency?
are you talking about a rotating internship year? ive never heard of a general rotating residency...
important to note, though, that if you do an MD residency then your internship may not meet AOA standards...some state require that you have done an AOA accredited Rotating internship year to be licensed and practice as a DO.
In most cases you just have to fill out some paperwork in order to have your internship qualify to meet AOA if it doesn't at first.
Not even close. It is easier than it used to be... but you need to read up on the requirements before you say that. You still have to have rotate through a required group of disciplines which vary somewhat based on your chosen specialty. That may mean giving up your elective time to do what the AOA requires. You also have to fulfill some other requirements.
