Rotation

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
What did (do) you guys bring to the rotation site?
Should I carry a textbook?
Thanks in advance. :hello:

I always bring my PDA with me. It has epocrates and micromedex (both free) and it sure does weight a lot less than a book. 🙂

Also, bring the basics... nametag, pen/pencil, calculator etc.

I always carried...

My Sanford guide (you can get it for your pda now...very cool); a pad of paper (take lots of notes); my Maxwell medical reference booklet (very useful for labs, common things you see in charts...http://www.maxwellbook.com/).

You'll get a feel for each rotation as far as what will be useful to have on you...just go in with an open mind and a willingness to learn/apply everything you've been studying 😉

Something is wrong with my keyboard.

I carry a pen and a little notepad.

I say drop the references. You'll find out you know much more than you think and you'll learn more without the crutch. If you really need to know something, use a PC...I'm sure you'll find one somewhere in a hospital. There's about 20 on each floor of my hospital. Globalrph.com is great for any kinetics/calculations problem you could ever fathom, Up-to-date is great for needing to know bleeding edge clinical info, and Clinical Pharmacology is my preferred drug encyclopedia.

But, that's just me.

Thank you so much. You guys are awesome!!!
