You’ll be able to feel it out in the moment but typically no. I won’t lie the Rowan staff were the most stone faced of any MMI I’ve done so I just briefly said good morning and thank you and then went on with my answer

Yea I finished a minute or 2 early and we sat in silence. You can turn your camera and mic off when you are done if you want though.

You can ask if they have follow up questions or draw from a different experience etc. Make it more interactive but it's hard with the MMI format lol

But I agree with others here. They made the MMI process really tense and awkward! I feel like it went terrible due to the overall energy.

I liked my interview. Some of them felt more awkward and stiff and others were more welcoming. It just depends on who you get honestly. I also liked the questions too

One of my interviewers turned her camera off after we finished bc we still had a minute left. She told me she was going to do it before it happened. I completely agree that as the interviewee we shouldn’t turn our cameras off even if it’s awkward

I honestly liked the interview process, while it was stressful because it was an interview but overall I enjoyed it. I thought it was going to be awful going into it. One interviewer said to turn mine off while we waited so I did, but only with one of them.

I think that’s totally fair but I also think they should exude the same professionalism for an interview for a doctoral program. Especially since it’s a new program, they should be pulling out the stops to make people want to attend (in my opinion obviously not everyone needs to believe this)

My interviewers literally told me to turn off my camera and audio if i wanted. So why would they do that if it’s a trick. Well i guess i know im probably denied.

If the interviewer told you that then I’d assume it’s fine! Another school I did a Kira MMI told us that they will assume you’re doing something off camera and my undergrads vet/med interview prep program said the same thing so that’s why personally I would stray away from it 🙂. Also when I finished early w Rowan my interviewer said he was going to turn his camera off but didn’t indicate I should. Maybe it’s personal preference, I was just sharing what I was told by another schools admissions team!

I think it’s all down to who interviewed you. If they say you can then you can. There isn’t a deeper meaning to it. I don’t believe they will decide you are denied because you turned your camera off when told to.

Same! I interview on the 8th so I'm hoping they will be quick to respond. Especially since commitment day is in like 6 weeks and people will need time to decide on what school they'll choose, pay the deposit, etc!

I’m telling myself to not worry about it until after the 21st (even though I’m constantly checking my email lol). That would give them 2 weeks after the final interview day even though I have a feeling it could be by the 14th. It all honestly depends on how many people interviewed. I’ve been mathing out numbers and details in my head for my speculations.

You can use a sheet of paper to gather your thoughts! That’s what I did during my interview

Good luck!! I interview on Sunday. Just be yourself and answer the best you can & don’t forget to breathe we got this!

Don’t write yourself off! I know multiple people who are in vet school now who thought they totally bombed their interviews.

I wish they had given us an estimate for this, but maybe it’s for the best since lots of schools this year gave estimates and then were late to deliver 😅
