No, no news. Interviewed on 2/15, i guess i won't here for a few more weeks.
 
Got my pre-interview rejection letter today (so they've sent them out)!
 
I got waitlisted...Anyone else pining away until May/June in order to hear about the waitlist? I heard they rank the list in late-May and then accept roughly the top 25%. And, they notify you as soon as they rank the list what quartile you are in.
Oh the wait is killer!!
 
Finally, some company in my misery! Just kidding--sorry to hear that. I've been on it since December.
 
Does anyone know if I will be interviewing for a waitlist spot (I=3/6) or do they still have class spots open?
 
rush is my first choice. i haven't heard from them!!! argh. i'm gonna write them a letter. do they accept videos? (no, not a video a la legally blonde!) i'd rather send them a "video of intent."
 
i went to rush this yesterday for an interview. during the interview, they announced that it was the last interview for this season.

I interviewed on March 1. They said that they still had seats open and that we were not interviewing for waitlists. There is still hope!
 
I called Rush yesterday, and they told me they are mailing a round of decisions this week. Good luck everyone
 
Did anyone have Dr. Rosen for their closed file interview. I actually raised concerns with Jill Porter after the interview. He said that he evaluates his applicants based on the questions that he is asked and then sat there and had me ask questions of him for a half and hour! I always have 5 or 10 minutes worth of questions, but never a whole interview worth! Plus, our interviews were at the end of the day so I had already been inundated with all one would need to know about Rush. It was awful. I will be expecting my rejection letter by the end of the month.

Too bad too, because I thought the school was great.

I had him, gd. Instead of me asking questions, I just got grilled.

Thanks Nape. I forgot to mention that he did ask me at the start of the interview "How did you come to be here?" So I started by saying that I was 34 (thinking that would justify the 18 different lives I had before this one!) and he replied "that's no way to start an answer to a question."

Sigh. I am probably just more upset that I probably blew my chance for the 4 interviews=4 acceptances grand title.

Nah, the Dr. Rosen was impossible to read, so no worries. You're still in the game.

At my interview, after a bit of small talk, he asks me if I had any questions. So, like you, I had like ten minutes worth. But finally, I had to say it was a very informative day, etc., and I think I had all my questions answered.

Then he says, "Okay, since you have no more questions, I'll put you under pressure and make you sweat." And he goes into his ethical dilemmas!

Well, I did get waitlisted, so this probably isn't much consolation. 🙁 But your interview doesn't sound any worse than mine.

they sent me this LOVELY email....

I couldn't get your number 'til Sunday night!! So I tried PMing you but the message said that your mailbox was too full for my lowly message to get to you (you're sooooo popular!). I am sooo sorry I missed you and now, after that Rush interview, it doesn't look like I will be in Chicago for med school business anytime soon!

Chicago was OK, my son and I both had colds so we stuck around my p's house in the burbs, did a little sledding in the backyard and watched a lot of Disney films.

i am still holding out hope for you - no need to throw in the towel just yet! and, i am excited to hear that it sounds like CO went well! 🙂
 
Just sent off my "thank you" notes to my interviewers, including Dr. Rosen. Since I am not a good BSer, that particular note did not convey a lot of warmth. Then again, neither will his eval of me, I figure.
 
Once again, Rush can kiss my big fat ass. =P

I interviewed on Feb 7th and I'm hoping to get the decision this week sometime. It normally takes 7-10 days for mail to show up here in Louisiana since our mail is still a little screwed up.
 
i interviewed mid-january and have yet to hear from them. should i call?? i hate this...

I also interviewed mid-Jan. and have yet to hear. I called in the middle of Feb. and they put me on the phone with Dean Norstrom who said they hadn't made a decision or gotten to my file or something along those lines. She also said "hang in there for another week or two, and don't read anything into this, it's just they way we process applications". But now it's like 3 weeks (or maybe 4? don't remember exactly when I called) and I still haven't heard! So if you call - let me know what they say!! Thanks.
 
Seriously - what is the deal with Rush? I interviewed so long ago (mid-Jan) and haven't heard. I thought they were sending decisions last week?! This is killing me - does anyone have any info?
 
I interviewed on the last day (March 6). I emailed them a few days later with some questions and have heard nothing from them.

Got a letter today from Rush saying I was waitlisted. I interviewed on March 1st. I can't believe that I got that far since my stats are average and being an out of state applicant. Good luck to everyone trying for a seat! I hope you make it in!

YAY!! I got in!! I'm so happy! I got an email today around 2:45 with subject Rush Medical College and it was an acceptance!! They said the actual letter was mailed today. Anyone else get one too?

congratulations! you seemed really worried about it -- maybe we'll be classmates?? 🙂 woohoo! we're going to one of the fattest cities in the US where there's a dunkin' donuts 'round every corner! oh, and there are very hot black men in chicago btw :laugh:.anyway, i can't wait to get on the phone and call for oprah tickets... lol

gdbaby - you never know - I was surprised to get an email because I saw that someone had posted that they got a letter on Saturday. So maybe they're staggering things...I wouldn't let this throw you one way or the other. Sucks, but you just gotta wait it out. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

red dot - chicago is an amazing city!! I grew up there and can't wait to get back. Very hot men of many colors, yes, and there are dunkin donuts around! it's incredible in the summer too - there's nothing like that lakefront...the beach with the backdrop of an amazing city skyline. I can't wait!
 
Wait, there's no deposit to hold a place in the class at Rush?! I got the actual letter in the mail this weekend but it doesn't say anything about a deposit. Just wanted to make sure....

There's a $100 deposit....you'll be receiving another letter in the mail that outlines what you have to do to reserve your spot.

Waitlisted since December. I emailed them a month ago and they said they are not expecting to give out any info (rank, movement, etc.) until May at the earliest.
 
So much for batting 1.000--waitlisted today. However, I will be withdrawing my app from the waitlist so hopefully that leaves a slightly smaller wait for others! Good luck!

I've been on it since December. No news, and the lady said not until end of May.
