I am still waiting on a couple of schools, but most likely I am not going there. Now, I am having a hard time deciding whether I should attend Rutgers or MCPHS. I got into the 0+6 pharmacy program.

So can anyone give me some advices? What are some pros and cons about these two schools?

I go to RU. It's an enormous school. If you're just coming out of high school, you're gonna be spending your first 2 years across 3 mini campuses across the main New Brunswick campus, which means you'll get acquainted with the lovely RU bus system. Once you get to your 3rd year, all of your classes will be on Busch campus. For me, RU's just too big. The class sizes are enormous unless you're taking some esoteric elective, so it's hard to get any attention from the professor since they have 500 other kids in front of them. The pharmacy class size at RU is over 200, which is also a lot, since you all have the same classes at the same time. If you're into the auditorium lecture atmosphere, maybe you'll like it. It's not my thing though.

Hahaa there must be a reason to why you are saying this. Anyhow, I did do some research, and I've found alot of negative comments about MCPHS. On the other hand, Rutgers had more positive comments. As of now, I am leaning more towards Rutgers.

Well, if you live in NJ this is an easy decision just based on the tuition alone.

I'm not a resident of New Jersey. I live in Oklahoma. I think the tuition of NJ is slightly cheaper than Boston though.

I hope it's uncontroversial to assert Rutgers obviously has the better program. Assuming annual tuition/fees are fixed for all six years, OOS $25,042/year at RU (including fees) is better than $28,000/year at MCPHS year 3-6 before fees. Also consider that RU doesn't accept very many students out-of-state, for what it's worth.

Also, an incoming class size of 200+ at RU is not a con compared to 300+ at MCPHS.

Any "negative comments" about MCPHS are probably from inferior students, which would be less likely at Rutgers given their higher admission standards.
