Hey everyone, I am an international student whom has been fortunate enough to gain acceptances to both KCUMB-COM and Sackler School of Medicine- NY State Program in Tel Aviv. I had a great experience at both interviews and both schools honestly seem great. I am wondering what you guys would recommend with the upcoming merger (I intend to work in the states). Any feedback/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
KCUMB-COM
Pros
-Great COMLEX scores
-Well established School
-American School
Cons
-Some forums have suggested that the campus is in a bit sketchy of a neighborhood
-DO Program (which I really respect but may possibly be at a disadvantage with the upcoming merger?)
Sackler School of Medicine- NY State Program in Tel Aviv
Pros
-Cheaper tuition by 7,000 USD a year
-Tel Aviv is apparently an amazing city
-Lots of Research Opportunities
-Great Match List from previous years
Cons
-It’s an international Medical Program making matching difficult
-Being in the Middle East would separate me from essentially everyone I know
