How sad it is with all the premeds here that were rejected and will never get into medical school.

what's even more sad is these folks still lingering on this forum, still hoping somehow to fulfill their dreams.

how will you all go on with your lives knowing you failed at the only thing you ever wanted?

Just because someone was rejected this year, it doesn't mean that they won't get in next year. A lot of them are in the process of applying again and looking for ways to improve their application, information on the schools that they are interested in, etc. This site has a lot of useful information for anyone applying to medical school.

what's even more sad are the people still desperately holding onto a shattered dream, and unable to face reality.

et tu Bunny?

Actually, I got in and am very thrilled to have done so. A lot of people who got rejected this year will make wonderful doctors if they are ever given the chance. Perhaps they just applied to the wrong schools for them or just not enough schools. This is a random process. I have seen some of the posts around here. There are a lot of people who interviewed at one school last year and were subsequently waitlisted or rejected. They reapplied this year to the same school that interviewed them and were rejected pre-interview, but accepted at four or five different schools. You never know what is going to happen in this process.

Kammel--
don't be so dismal, man!
a lot of us remain very optimistic, waiting to get in off WLs at numerous schools. it's merely the beginning of june--and while the weather sucks out here in nyc, please don't rain on our parade!

good luck with the process.

Kammel Jacque',

As a new member you are starting out with your wrong foot or its in the wrong place (your mouth)! These boards are mainly suppose to be supportive. There are enough negative posters.

As for people applying multiple times to medical school, medical123 is correct this can seem like a random process. Many people just don't have all the pieces to the puzzle the first time through. The people that to reapply a few times are likely to succeed in med school. Why? Because they better understand that to become a doctor it takes years of ongoing hard work, and they are very likely to appreciate this with an all out effort in school and beyond.

Good luck to you Kammel. I hope you find the process enlightening. 😀

haha love that smilie man...classic

Hey for the people who didn't make it his year, think about what happened during your process, it is extremely hard and might not always go the way you like. If you are a younger person right out of undergrad, it might be a blessing that you didn't make it this year. Get life experience and try again. You guys will do fine.

peace

First of all such discouraging and pessimistic post!!!

Life is all about dreaming, working toward realizing your dreams and at the end accepting our limitations as human beings and other factors that govern us.
I have seen people much more capable than I am, getting poor GRE scores or grades. I have also seen inetilligent students getting average grades and average students getting super grades [while I was teaching].
Well, why not put in your best and then accept God's will or destiny......

my best wishes to all

i can't wait 'til the time comes when i get to sit on the admissions board at a medical school and interview applicants. i don't care how great of numbers you got, if the applicant is even a quarter the prick KAMMEL is, they ain't gettin my vote.

I think you mean work For ....that is, if you are accepted to PA school, after your URM status fails to get you into U of A:laugh:

I think there is a paper hat in your future, and I don't mean in an OR.

   I agree.

This is probably some freshman undergrad, or better yet some highschool a$$. Trolls suck.

Like everyone else has been sayin, plenty of great doctors didn't get in the first time around. To all of you who didn't get in, tough it out and we'll see you next year as MS1's.

Kammel,

Were you also boooed out of the International forum by people who found your post name offensive? I am not from the middle east and am not very aware of this, but weren't some people concerned that your name was a well-known slur in those areas?

This si a forum where we try and help each other, and for the most part we all do. Why are you coming in here and messin' us up??

🙄

Reason will not work... I am surprised why people think they can influence a person with trivial thoughts. He is obviously seeking attention...don't give it to him!

ps. Moderator, his name should be changed.

can't you come up with anything better than correcting my engrish?

and haven't you already used that one about working in fast food on another thread? come on woman, be original and make me laugh!

p.s., what makes you think i haven't gotten accepted to med school and that i'm a URM? my guess is that you are a young, immature, white male, who acting like an ass for attention or most likely because of some insecurity. that's just a guess though. you'll go far in life.
