Hi all,

Just took AAMC sample test and this was my breakdown: C/P 59% CARS 75% B/B 63% P/S 68%
Anyone know what this correlates to? Also, I'm almost 1 month out from my test date (1/20) and I'm struggling to figure out what to do moving forward. I've already completed all qpacks, SBs, AAMC sample test, and NS1. I do work full time so that hinders my prep a lot but I'm willing to adjust what I'm currently doing which is 2 hours M-F and approx 4 hours Sat and Sun. Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks for the help!

@MoDiddy Goal score was 515 at the beginning of prep but I'm starting to think that 508-510 is the new goal. I have about 1 month left of prep with a full time job so I'm trying to figure out what to prioritize with the limited time that I have.

505 126/126/126/127. What is your goal score?
Could you tell me where you are getting these conversations from? According to a thread from reddit these are much higher than it would have predicted, thanks in advance

@MoDiddy That's what I was planning on starting with. Going over the C/P section right now and I've already had 5 just STUPID mistakes most likely from worrying about the clock too much.

Interesting, I hope this is correct as it would help me out a ton. Anyways, I think you are on track to hit your goal. I don't know how many test you have taken but I found the more test I took the more comfortable I felt and my score improved by a lot. Good luck, I am sure your going to make a great applicant!

@duckdoc20 Yeah I mean there will be some sampling bias because of the range of scores reported in the data section but the result is close to the other predictor on reddit. But thank you for the advice! I have taken 3 so far not including a diagnostic prior to prep (NS1 in July, NS1 in November, and then AAMC sample test) I've scored 505 on all 3 of them but with varying subscores in C/P and CARS. I really think my constant worrying about timing throughout the test impacted my score a lot because I've already found a lot of dumb mistakes. But I plan to try the timing strategy recommended by @mcatmatt to see if it helps slow me down and keep my calm throughout each section. Good luck to you as well!

Use NS exams to get your timing down

@MoDiddy Not sure how you're converting stuff here. I just took the AAMC Sample Test (as my first FL ever) and got this:
I used an online calculator found on Reddit. Take this score with a grain of salt.. AAMC FL 1 and 2 will be the best prediction I believe.
(127/125/126/128) 506

Why are AAMC FL 1 and 2 the best prediction? Aren't all of these scores scaled so that you see where you stand amongst other test takers?

AAMC 1 and 2 are more recent plus they give you sectional scores and a total scaled score as opposed to just the % correct. When are you scheduled to take the MCAT?

I'm scheduled to take the MCAT in April and I'm currently debating how I want to study from now on. I am thinking about doing as many timed FL's as I can get my hands on (AAMC FL 1/2/3 for last, of course) while reviewing each of them thoroughly (and preferably with someone who did well on the MCAT, and I'd spend the money for that if I knew for sure they did well on the MCAT lol). Thoughts?

Do content review then do time tests. You can't beat this exam without content review.
