SAT scores on AMCAS?

Are any of you listing your SAT scores on AMCAS in the 'other test section.' I know that many schools ask for them in the secondary, but could listing them on the primary potentially help or hurt my chances??

SAT: 1300
SAT Math 1: 680
SAT Math 2: 710

I have heard of only a handful. Not many actually use them as a deciding factor. I have heard only of one case where a school told someone that their SAT scores were to low during their interview. If they do use them, then they are very weak.

In the secondary essay prompt thread someone said that Jefferson asks for your SAT scores, but thats the only one ive hear of thus far.... and if thats the case, do you have to have those score reports sent to them?

I don't even remember my SAT score...that brain cell must have been used up on something more important...like the philosophy of taking a shot. 🙂

some of the secs I filled out did ask - some of them even asked my rank in my high school class. I'm like "wtf? that was 10 years ago!" Who woulda thought my high school apathy would come back to haunt me.

interesting question....

i was not planning on mentioning those SAT/ACT in 'other test section' on AMCAS cause i thought it was only for post-secondary stuff. however, if it is appropriate to do so, i would love to cause i had a very good ACT/SAT/class rank.

what do you guys think?

In response to the last poster, I wouldn't put your high school stats down unless you are specifically asked. Most schools probably don't care, and if they do, they'll ask for them in the secondaries.

You scored higher on Math IIC than Math I? That's interesting...

I got a perfect score on the Math IC and 700 something or other on the IIC. I should have gone math-premed. oh well. Anyway, I don't think either helped me on college admissions, no one cared about them in college, and when I do decide to apply, I'm sure med school adcoms will care even less! 😀
