If a person were accepted into a dental school in January/February, would that be too late for the Army, Navy, and NHSC scholarships?

From what I've been told, the Navy just had their second board a few days ago for January, but the first one had about 15 applicants and they have 61 spots total. I'm assuming the January board has more since acceptances to school were given out, but if you can get everything done really fast (very unlikely with the military) you may have a chance. It took me about 5 months to get everything completed. However, you could always do the 3 year HPSP program starting D2.Navy is still taking apps, but it's had multiple boards already and is close to being completely done
Not late if you are applying for 3 year scholarships (I think you are actually very early at this point, no?)Short Answer: Yes, it is sort of late.
Long Answer: You don't need an acceptance to dental school to begin the application process (military physical, background check form, personal statement, interview with military dentists, etc.)
For the current cycle (students starting dental school in 2017), Army has stopped taking apps for the 4-year HPSP. Air Force has given out all of its scholarships. Navy is still taking apps, but it's had multiple boards already and is close to being completely done.

Awesome, thank you all for your advice. So it would be a good idea to contact a recruiter regarding 3 year HPSP pretty soon? Is that for both the Army and Navy? Anybody have experience going HCSP?
So you knew you had a 3 year HPSP before attending dental school?Contact a recruiter ASAP. I was late during application cycle and did not board until March. I received the HSCP.

HPSP has rolling decisions, though spots fill up quickly. The NHSC has a set application deadline.
Any idea what date NHSC 2017-2018 cycle will open? I understand that it's going to be this spring sometime. Also, what should I be doing ahead of time prior to application cycle opening?
