I want to start by saying I know there was a similar thread posted here but school counseling never seemed to be adequately addressed on that thread.

I just wrapped up a series of applications to clinical mental health counseling programs across the country (NJ,OR,RI,VA,NC). Unfortunately, I fell down the school counselor rabbit hole the other day and did a fair amount of research on LPCs vs. School Counselors. It seems school counselors have the potential to make a fair amount more and get summers off? I'm starting to second guess my choices here.

Does anyone here have advice about one vs. the other? Is there potential to become a school counselor as an LPC or should I reapply to different programs?
