While we're on the topic, why don't some schools give an A+ if you earned it? They're quick to give you an A- but nooo not an A+. I got a 98 in bio.....yet no A+.Shenanigans!

I see, well that's good on my part. An A is an A is an A. Go talk to the dean of science maybe? Could be tricky though; they might take it as you feeling entitled.

Well, is it uncommon to receive an A+ for a 98% in your school? Grading systems really depend on the school, for example like I said, mine doesn't use + or -'s.
98 percent = 3.9
Personally I would give up an A+ if they took away the A-.

I honestly don't think they give out an A+. I remember on my syllabus when I checked it out at the end of the quarter it stated 94 and above was an A.
Yes, I had a feeling my post may have been confusing.
My school usually breaks it down like this:
100-98: A+
97-93: A
92-90: A-
SO even if you happen to get a 92, you get an A-.
Since that is the case, I would rather them take away the A+ and not give me an A-. (make it easier to get just an 'A' (4.0)
Now im confused. My school doesn't give out +,- grades. What would that translate on the application? My school counts it as a 4.0 if i was to get all A's. Does that mean on my application it would be less than a 4.0 where it's not an A+ or do they not count A+'s and just count B,C,D,F+'s? I worded that horribly, but I hope someone understands what im saying 
Holy cow. That sounds brutal. Princeton grads are animals..
AMCAS corrects A+ grades to a flat A, so even though you might have an A+ on your transcript at some schools, they'll appear to medical schools as "only" an A. I think this is to correct for schools that don't give out A+s.
