Hi All,

Looking for suggestions on schools.

3.25 cGPA, 3.25 sGPA, 38M MCAT

Graduated in 2007 from a top-10 school. Undergrad GPA was closer to 3.15, I've taken a number of post-bac courses since. Post-Bacc GPA is 3.7 (not part of any official program, just taking them on the side).

Worked in a medical research laboratory for a couple of years after graduating, now I'm working for a financial company. Had an epiphany over a year ago that I had made a mistake. My story comes together well in my personal statement.

No super-special extra-curriculars, but won a few small awards, did lots of volunteering, just started working nights & weekends as an EMT.

So, any suggestions on where to apply? Right now I'm thinking everywhere.

The most important piece of advice that accepted students give is: apply early and broadly.

I think that if you present the "complete package" you will get interviews. However, please don't apply everywhere. A good thing to do would be to review the MSAR and LizzyM's spreadsheet. There are many schools that don't accept a large percentage of students OOS and some schools that don't even accept OOS. Also, apply to DO schools if you want, just in case the MD route doesn't open up.

My giving of advice as a pre-health student should not be taken seriously compared to that of an accepted student as I am on the same path as yours. Anyhow, good luck and may the force be with you.
