Just got my MCAT score back so now looking for some advice on my school list. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  1. GPA:
    1. cGPA: 3.96 / sGPA(AMCAS): 3.98
  2. MCAT:
    1. 514 (129/128/129/128)
  3. Wisconsin resident- rural
  4. Ethnicity/Race
    1. Caucasian
  5. Undergrad:
    1. Medium/small private school in Midwest city
    2. Rising senior
    3. Biomedical Sciences Major/ Business Administration Minor
  6. Clinical Experience:
    1. Volunteering (Day Surgery, GI, companion) (~200 hours)
  7. Research experience and productivity
    1. 70 hours of research (no publication/ongoing)
    2. 200+ more projected over next year
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented
    1. 40 hours Shadowing: Internal Medicine (hospitalist), pathology, orthopedic surgery
  9. Non-clinical volunteering
    1. 25 hours Big Brothers Big Sisters
    2. 100 hours at free meal sites
  10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc)
    1. 700 hours TA’ing gross anatomy for PT and PA grad students (with a summer fellowship)
    2. 40 hours biology tutor
    3. 80 hours as a campus ambassador
    4. 700 hours various jobs
    5. Part of a mentoring program through the alumni association
    6. Treasurer for a pre-health honor society for the upcoming school year
  11. Other Notes
    1. 2 IAs for alcohol back to back weekends in September of sophomore year- no further incidents
    2. Have an interest in rural health but not necessarily interested in the rural health track offered by several schools
    3. Letters of Rec should all be very good. 3 science prof including my Dean, 1 non-science, and 1 physician.

Toledo and Louisville accept few non residents with no connection to the state or region (half of Toledo's non residents are from Michigan some years). You can add any other schools I suggested above.

@Faha Noted, I'll reconsider those 2. In your opinion, is 23 schools enough to walk out of this cycle with a couple of schools to choose from?

Your clinical and non clinical volunteering hours are somewhat low for the 3 Jesuit schools and you also have 4 reaches. 23 schools may only be 16 that are realistic. Add a few more schools to your list of 23.

Ended up going with this list. Subbed Pitt for Michigan, switched out Toledo and UL, and added a couple more schools for a total of 26. Fingers crossed this cycle goes well and thanks for your help.
