My current school list since I'm not sure how schools look at "adjustment of status":

Are you from a Sub Saharan African country ? You have several state public schools on your list that admit few non residents with no connection to the state.

West Virginia, North Carolina, Hawaii, UC Davis (only 1 or 2 non residents yearly), Connecticut, Rutgers admit few non residents with no connection to the state. I suggest these schools with your stats:
All 4 SUNYs
Hofstra
Einstein
Mount Sinai
Columbia
Cornell
NYU Long Island
New York Medical College
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Dartmouth
Boston University
Tufts
Brown
Hackensack

Thank you so much and I’ve been having a hard time figuring out how these schools consider “adjustment of status” applicants. I don’t have my permanent residency yet, but I have completed the application process and will get a response before the cycle ends.

It may be an issue at some schools so you should contact each school and see what their policy is.
