Hey guys.

I was wondering if anyone of you have heard of anybody who's had this issue.

My school won't issue me an official transcript because I still have unsettled debt. I am applying for entry into medical school in 2013 and AMCAS requires that transcripts be sent directly from my school.

Aside from paying the bill right now (which I cannot), do you guys know if there are any other options I can do? Thanks!

hahaha oh man! Legally they can do that bud, so you better pay it.

There are no other options. Amcas won't accept anything non-official

There might be no way around sending an official transcript, but maybe you could persuade (or beg) your school officials to send the official transcript without paying immediately. You could ask any faculty who you happen to know to help you.

doubt that would work.

How much debt are we talking about?

Does the school still hold the debt or has it been sold to a collection agency?

If it's the latter then you are really screwed because you won't even be able to work anything out with the school.
