Stony Brook

and

Drexel??

Is there hope? Do they go through a ton of WL's hopefully?

I can't comment on those specific school's waitlist movement, but until someone gets in here who can, I think you'd have more luck with the school specific threads from previous years.

Waitlist movement changes yearly, so it is impossible to say without being in the admissions department of that school. Some schools will accept too few students at the beginning of the past year, so they increase it greatly the next and barely touch the waitlist. Other years they overaccept, so they cut back the next year.
