Schools reading SDN, what about facebook?

I was wondering if anyone knows if schools check your profile on facebook. It seems utterly reasonable and perfectly legit to do so. This is one of the few reasons why I do not have a facebook account. But what do you think? Is it a liability?

Oh, I also wanted to add that a friend of mine who works in IT does look up any students who interview for a work study job with her on facebook. She's passed over a few girls who had very crazy party pics posted of them taking shots and running around half naked.

then again, your profile is only visible to other individuals in your school, or people on your friends list. you can't see someone's profile if you're just a stranger signing on for the first time.

They can access whatever you've made public, it's completely up to you to adjust the privacy settings.
