Schools with LOR expiration dates

Hi all

I noticed that KCUMB website mentions that they don't accept LOR that were written more than two years past the matriculation year. Here is the exact quote:

"In addition, recommendation/evaluation letters have a maximum acceptable life span – they must have been written within two years prior to the prospective student's matriculation."

I graduated undergrad in 2013, and most of my LORs are from 2012 which is obviously greater than two years.

Are there other schools that have the same or similar requirements?

KYCOM, PNWU, WCU are a few I can think of

From KCUMB's FAQ:
"What should I do if my recommendation/evaluation letters are outdated by more than two years?
As a general rule, recommendations/evaluations dated more than two years before your application is submitted to AACOMAS are considered outdated. This can happen when you have been away from academia for a period of time. In any case, recommendation/evaluations from employers may be substituted for science faculty or for premed sources."

I suspect that for most schools, it's always good to have recent letters from your activities you've done between graduation and submitting your application.

Why not just ask the LOR writer to change the date?

FWIW, I toured a DO program not too long ago and its admission counselor recommended that I contact my previous letter writer to resubmit the same letter with the current date in order to fulfill the 2 year requirement.
