Schools with no Secondaries asking for "Processing Fees"

Hello guys. This is my very first thread. 🙂 yay me

I haven't yet taken the DAT (will in Aug. 3) and here are some of my questions:

1. What should I do for those schools that are just asking for money without secondaries; especially when my application isn't technically complete without my DAT scores? I just feel like a "waste of money" doing so because I don't even know if they're "interested."

2. Should I register for the schools to receive my scores BEFORE/AFTER I take my DAT? (I feel like maybe if I don't do as well, I can just send them to fewer schools and can save a little money, but then again, could that delay my application...)

Any thoughts? Thank you!!

Oh wow! you just save me the same post from this site. Thank you very much as I am having
the same question in mind. I am also confused about this and I have a lot of friends whose currently
undergoing the same situation. I am afraid that they will just be scammed with nothing in return at all.

I feel August is getting a little late in the game. If you are confident that you will do well on the DAT, I would suggest getting everything in now. It will greatly speed up the application process. However, if you are unsure about the DAT, go ahead of you have $$ to burn. If not, apply next year early.
